New billing features

For IQ panels, the PowerManage 4.18 update adds the following features:

Dealer swap

Each IQ panel is connected to a dealer through the billing server. The billing server enables activation of the panel, allowing use of the user app, SIM activation.

The dealer swap feature allows the changing of the IQ panel dealer.

To change the IQ panel dealer, access the Johnson Controls dealer portal at https://dealer.powermanage.com, and follow the instructions.

As response to the swap request, PowerManage updates the following information on the panel:

  • PowerManage URL, if you changed the server
  • The Dealer ID

Mobile App Plan

When you add an IQ panel, PowerManage assigns the Mobile App Plan billing plan to it:

Mobile App Plan (light) Mobile App Plan (dark)

The Mobile App Plan billing plan enables the user app but does not activate the MetTel SIM.

You can use the Mobile App Plan billing plan for panels with Wi-Fi module only, or panels with cellular module using BYOS SIMs (bring your own SIMs).

Automatic reboot of cellular module

After MetTel SIM activation, PowerManage automatically reboots the cellular module, so cellular connection is immediately active.

Manual APN setup

PowerManage 4.18 update adds the manual APN configuration.

To set up the panel APN, on the navigation pane, click Equipment > the panel > CONFIGURATION > the configuration to edit, and then search for the APN 1 options:
