Overview​
The Panel tests page provides access to built-in diagnostic and communication tests for the IQ Panel. Users can run individual tests to verify connectivity, hardware functionality, communication, signal strength, power input.
Use this page when:
- Installing a new panel.
- Troubleshooting communication or hardware issues.
- Testing wireless device connectivity.
- Confirming power and network status.
The page centralizes multiple diagnostic tools in a single interface, helping technicians identify configuration problems, communication failures, and hardware faults.
Before you begin​
Preconditions​
- The IQ Panel is powered on.
- The panel has completed startup.
- Network interfaces required for testing are enabled and configured.
- Wireless devices are paired with the panel before running wireless communication tests.
Important limitations​
- Available tests may vary depending on panel model and installed hardware.
- Some tests require an active internet, cellular, or wireless connection.
- Running tests does not automatically correct detected issues.

Wi-Fi test​

- Verify cellular connectivity.

Z-Wave tests​
Runs diagnostics for Z-Wave communication and connected devices.

- Troubleshoot automation devices.
- Confirm device communication.
PowerG devices test​
Tests PowerG wireless sensor communication.
When to use
- Verify PowerG device connectivity.
- Validate wireless sensor operation.
- Troubleshoot communication failures.
PowerG RSSI​
Displays Remote Inspection measures PowerG signal strength information.
When to use
- Evaluate signal quality.
- Determine device placement suitability.
- Troubleshoot intermittent communication issues.
Dual path Wi-Fi test​
Verifies communication through multiple transmission paths, including Wi-Fi and alternate communication methods supported by the panel.
When to use
- Validate communication redundancy.
- Confirm reporting path availability.
- Test failover configurations.
Input voltage​
Displays or tests input power supplied to the panel.
When to use
- Verify power stability.
- Troubleshoot power-related issues.
- Confirm proper voltage levels during installation.
Daughter cards test​
Tests installed daughter cards and expansion hardware.
When to use
- Verify module detection.
- Confirm expansion card functionality.
- Troubleshoot hardware extensions.
Panel test​
Runs a general panel diagnostic procedure.
When to use
- Validate overall panel functionality.
- Perform post-installation verification.

How to use this page​
Run a diagnostic test​
Goal:
- Verify a specific panel function or communication path.
Steps:
- Open the IQ Panel tests page.
- Locate the required test tile.
- Select the desired test.
- Wait for the panel to execute the diagnostic procedure.
- Review the displayed test results.
Expected result:
- The selected test completes successfully.
- Diagnostic results are displayed for review.
Verify Wi-Fi communication​
Goal:
- Confirm the panel can communicate using Wi-Fi.
Steps:
- Open IQ Panel tests.
- Select Wi-Fi test.
- Start the test if prompted.
- Review the connectivity results.
Expected result:
- Wi-Fi communication is confirmed.
- Any connectivity failures are reported.
Verify cellular communication​
Goal:
- Confirm the panel can communicate through the cellular network.
Steps:
- Open IQ Panel tests.
- Select Cellular test.
- Run the diagnostic.
- Review the returned status.
Expected result:
- Cellular communication is successful.
- Signal or connection issues are identified if present.
Check PowerG signal strength​
Goal:
- Determine whether PowerG devices have adequate signal quality.
Steps:
- Open IQ Panel tests.
- Select PowerG RSSI.
- Review the signal measurements.
- Reposition devices if signal quality is insufficient.
Expected result:
- Signal information is displayed.
- Weak signal conditions can be identified.
Signal quality requirements depend on device type and installation environment.
Verify panel power​
Goal:
- Confirm that the panel is receiving acceptable input power.
Steps:
- Open IQ Panel tests.
- Select Input voltage.
- Review the displayed measurements.
Expected result:
- Input voltage is displayed.
- Abnormal power conditions can be identified.
Tips​
- Use PowerG RSSI measurements before permanently mounting wireless devices.
- Review power input status when troubleshooting unexpected panel behavior.
- Run hardware diagnostics after installing expansion modules.
Troubleshooting​
Wi-Fi test fails​
