Reports

Overview​

The Reports screen allows installers to view, manage, and generate reports.

Installers typically use this page to:

  • Review reports that already ran
  • Monitor scheduled reports
  • Generate new reports on demand
  • Export report results as PDF files
  • Configure report content and delivery settings

This page helps installers track operational activity, faults, events, and testing information related to a selected panel.

Before you begin​

Preconditions​

  • A panel must already exist in the system.
  • Network connectivity is required to load and generate report data.

Important limitations​

  • Report history retention may be limited by system settings.
  • Email delivery requires a valid email address and also depends on server SMTP settings.

How to use this page​

Create a new report​

Goal:

  • Create and run a report for a selected panel.

Steps:

  1. Open the REPORTS tab for the selected panel.
  2. Tap the + button.
  3. Enter a report name in the Name field.
  4. Select one or more content options under OPTIONS:
    • Faults — includes fault data
    • Events — includes event history
    • Processes — includes process activity
    • RRI Tests — includes RI test results
  5. Select Start Right Now under SCHEDULE if the report should run immediately.
  6. Enter one email addresses under WHEN COMPLETED if automatic delivery is required.
  7. Select ADD REPORT.

Expected result:

  • The report appears in the reports list.
  • The system schedules or starts report generation.
  • A PDF becomes available after the report finishes.

View a completed report​

Goal:

  • Open a generated report in PDF format.

Steps:

  1. Open the Reports screen.
  2. Locate the completed report in the list.
  3. Confirm that the Finished status is shown for the report.
  4. Tap on report.

Expected result:

  • The report PDF can be downloaded.
  • You can review the report content.

Review scheduled reports​

Goal:

  • Verify upcoming or pending reports.

Steps:

  1. Open the Reports screen.
  2. Review report entries grouped by date.
  3. Check the execution time and finished status for each entry.

Expected result:

  • You can identify pending, in-progress, or completed reports.

Send reports by email​

Goal:

  • Deliver generated reports to one or more recipients automatically.

Steps:

  1. Create a new report.
  2. Enter an email address in the Email field under WHEN COMPLETED.
  3. Select the + icon to add more recipients if needed.
  4. Select ADD REPORT.

Expected result:

  • The system sends the completed report to all specified recipients after generation finishes.

Invalid email addresses may prevent report delivery. Verify all addresses before creating the report.

Tips​

  • Use descriptive report names to make reports easier to identify in the list.
  • Select only the content categories required to keep report size manageable.
  • Confirm the Finished status before attempting to open a PDF.
  • Use email delivery for scheduled operational reviews or compliance audits.
  • Add multiple email recipients when reports must be distributed to a team.

Troubleshooting​

Report does not finish​

Possible causes

  • Panel is offline or unreachable
  • System communication issue
  • Report queue backlog or delay

What to do

  1. Verify that the panel is online and connected.
  2. Wait for the system to refresh the report status.
  3. Retry report creation if the issue persists.

Unable to create a report​

Possible causes

  • Required fields not completed
  • Invalid email address entered

What to do

  1. Confirm that the Name field is completed.
  2. Check that all email addresses use a valid format.
  3. Retry creating the report.

Email delivery fails​

Possible causes

  • Invalid or incorrectly formatted recipient email address
  • Email server configuration issue
  • Network connectivity issue during delivery

What to do

  1. Verify all recipient email addresses for typos or formatting errors.
  2. Remove unsupported characters or extra spaces from the email field.
  3. Contact your server administrator to verify mail server configuration.
  4. Retry with a confirmed valid email address.
