Why migrate?​

ConnectAlarm is our new unified app designed to provide the same reliable features you use today, with improved stability and future updates.

Migration checklist​

Before installing ConnectAlarm, make sure you have:

• Your current app installed and accessible.
• The server address used by your current app.
• Your email.
• Your password.
• Internet access on your mobile device.
• Access to the app store.

How to find your server address​

The server address is required to connect ConnectAlarm to the same environment used by your current app.

Before migration:

1. Open your current app.
2. Log out from your account.
3. Observe the Server address used by your account.
4. Write down or copy the Server address.
5. Keep the current app installed until you confirm that ConnectAlarm works.

How to migrate​

Step 1: Install ConnectAlarm​

Step 2: Sign in with your existing details​

1. On the ConnectAlarm sign-in screen, enter the same Server address used by your current app.
2. Enter your existing email.
3. Enter your existing password.
4. Select the sign-in action.

Step 3: Confirm your panel appears​

1. Confirm that your expected security panel appears.
2. Select the panel.
3. Confirm that the dashboard opens.
4. Review key areas, such as:
   • Dashboard
   • Devices
   • Events
   • Cameras, if configured
   • Home Automation, if used

Step 4: Allow notifications​

1. When ConnectAlarm asks for notification permission, allow notifications.
2. Open Notifications.
3. Review the PUSH and EMAIL tabs.
4. Confirm that required categories are enabled.
5. Review mobile device notification settings if notifications do not appear.

Step 5: Review app settings​

After signing in, review local settings in ConnectAlarm.

1. Open Application Settings.
2. Review:
   • Language
   • Theme
   • Use FaceId/TouchId
   • Fast Login
   • Geofences
   • Panic mode
   • Temperature scale
3. Update settings as needed.

Step 6: Keep or remove the old app​

After confirming that ConnectAlarm works:

1. Confirm that your panel appears in ConnectAlarm.
2. Confirm that you can access the features you need.
3. Confirm that notifications are enabled.
4. Uninstall the old app only when you no longer need it.

Upgrade guidance​

Schedule maintenance windows at the earliest opportunity. Three of these flaws allow local privilege escalation — any unprivileged process or user on an affected host may gain root. Treat upgrade scheduling as high priority.

Security Innovation Takes Center Stage​

Johnson Controls used Intersec as a platform to showcase advancements across its security portfolio, with a particular focus on intrusion detection and integrated security management. The company continues to invest in technologies that help organizations improve operational visibility while maintaining high levels of protection and reliability.

According to Polak, modern security solutions must go beyond traditional alarm systems. Customers increasingly expect systems that combine intelligence, scalability, remote management capabilities, and seamless integration with broader building management platforms.

You can no longer log in using an invalid email. This change enhances security and maintains a high sender reputation for each PowerManage account.

A potential issue arises if you attempt to access the system with an old DSA email from the domain tycomonitor.com, which lacks MX records and a mailbox, rendering it invalid.

If you have already upgraded, you can still change your email through the MMI. To do this, go to Settings -> Maintenance -> DSA account, or contact Technical Support for assistance.
