Logging out
Overview
Use this action when users need to:
- End the current ConnectAlarm session.
- Prevent other people from accessing the app on the same device.
- Switch to a different ConnectAlarm account.
- Sign out before sharing, replacing, or returning a mobile device.
The logout option is available from the menu in the upper-right corner of the Panels list page. After the user selects logout, ConnectAlarm shows a confirmation message asking whether the user really wants to log out.
Before you begin
Preconditions
- The user is signed in to ConnectAlarm.
- The user can access the Panels list page.
- The upper-right corner
menu is available on the Panels list page.
Dependencies
- Logout depends on the app session state.
- Signing in again requires network connectivity and valid account credentials.
Limitations

- Logging out will stop access to panels, cameras, automation, and notifications until the user signs in again.
How to use this page
Log out of ConnectAlarm
- Open ConnectAlarm.
- Sign in to your account.
- Select the
menu in the upper-right corner.
- Select Logout.
- In the confirmation dialog, confirm that you want to log out.
Switch to another account
- Open the Panels list page.
- Select the upper-right
menu.
- Select Logout.
- Confirm the logout action.
- On the login screen, sign in with the other account.

Available panels may change after signing in with a different account.
Tips
tip
- Log out when using ConnectAlarm on a shared or temporary device.
- Confirm that the app returns to a signed-out state before giving the device to another person.
- Use logout before switching to another ConnectAlarm account.
- If the device is lost or shared, change the account password and review account protection settings.
- Logging out does not delete the account. Use Remove Account only when the account should be removed.
