Calendar

Overviewโ€‹

The Calendar tab in Equipment hub shows scheduled reports, report results, and remote inspection (RI) items for the selected equipment panel.

Open this tab from Equipment hub after you select a panel on the Equipment page. The tab shows calendar items for that panel only.

Use the Calendar tab to:

  • Review scheduled reports and RI items by year or month.
  • Check failed report results and recurring RI schedules.
  • Filter the calendar by report items and RI items.
  • Open report results for review.
  • Create a scheduled report.
  • Start a remote inspection immediately.
  • Schedule or cancel a future remote inspection.
  • Export available report data when the action is available.

Before you beginโ€‹

Required permissionsโ€‹

  • Permission to open the Equipment page.
  • Permission to view Equipment hub for the selected panel.
  • Permission to view the Calendar tab.
  • Permission to view reports and RI items.
  • Permission to create reports, start RI, schedule RI, cancel RI schedules, or export data, depending on the action.

Access to the Calendar tab, calendar items, reports, and RI actions is controlled by role permissions. If you cannot see the tab or an action, contact an administrator.

Preconditionsโ€‹

  • At least one equipment panel must exist on the Equipment page.
  • You must select a panel from the Equipment page to open Equipment hub for that panel.
  • The selected panel must have calendar data, report data, or RI schedules to show events.
  • To create a report, you must provide the required report configuration.
  • To deliver reports by email or FTP, the related delivery settings must be valid and available.

Dependenciesโ€‹

  • Equipment hub must be available for the selected panel.
  • Calendar content depends on report schedules, report results, and RI schedules for the selected panel.
  • Report delivery depends on the configured destination, such as email or FTP.
  • RI actions depend on the panel connection state and the permissions assigned to the current operator.

Important limitationsโ€‹

  • The Calendar tab shows data for the selected panel only. It is not a global calendar for all equipment.
  • Year view shows an aggregated summary by month and does not show exact event dates.
  • Month view shows exact dates for the selected month only.
  • Calendar filters affect visible items, but one observed Year view state shows Weekly items while RI is unchecked. Treat this as a possible classification or refresh behavior until confirmed by product rules.
  • The available actions for a calendar item can vary by item type, status, and permission.

Page layoutโ€‹

The Calendar tab is part of Equipment hub. Equipment hub opens after you select a panel on the Equipment page. The page uses the shared Equipment hub structure, including the top tab navigation, panel/account header, and panel-level action buttons.

The interface uses a dark theme with grey panels, light text, blue active states, blue primary buttons, red failed-state items, and blue-grey scheduled or recurring items.

The panel/account header identifies the selected panel and shows its status indicators. Use this header to confirm that you are working with the correct panel before you create reports or start RI.

The toolbar appears above the calendar grid. Use it to move between periods, change the view, filter items, create reports, and start or schedule RI.

Year view calendarโ€‹

Year view shows a full year as a 4-column by 3-row grid. Each month appears in a separate section.

Month view shows one month as a grid with seven weekday columns. Use this view when you need the exact date of a report or RI item.

The Weekly context menu opens when you select the three-dot menu on a Weekly item. It appears as a floating panel over the calendar grid.

The report review side panel opens from the right when you open a report item. The Calendar page is dimmed behind the panel. The side panel remains active and can scroll when content exceeds the visible area.

The active Failed tab includes these sections:

  • Total System Usage: Shows usage information for the last 40 reports. The visible state shows 0 state set.
  • Active Faults: Shows active faults. The visible state shows 1 active faults with columns Type and Device. The visible row shows Dealer id is empty or wrong format for Control Panel.
  • Frequently used zones: Shows zone activity for the selected period. The visible state shows 55 not used and includes rows such as Zone 1 Zone 1 and Zone 2 Zone 2. Date and time values are shown as dashes.

How to use this pageโ€‹

Open the Calendar tabโ€‹

Goal:

  • Open panel-specific calendar management from the Equipment page.

Steps:

  1. Open the Equipment page.
  2. Select the required panel.
  3. In Equipment hub, select the Calendar tab.

Expected result:

  • Equipment hub opens for the selected panel.
  • The Calendar tab shows calendar items for that panel.

Change the calendar viewโ€‹

Goal:

  • Switch between a full-year summary and exact monthly scheduling.

Steps:

  1. Open the Calendar tab.
  2. Open the view selector in the toolbar.
  3. Select Year or Month.

Expected result:

  • Year view shows months in a 4-column by 3-row grid.
  • Month view shows day cells for the selected month.

Move to another periodโ€‹

Goal:

  • Review scheduled items in a previous or future period.

Steps:

  1. Open the Calendar tab.
  2. Confirm the current view in the view selector.
  3. Select the back arrow to move to the previous period, or select the forward arrow to move to the next period.

Expected result:

  • In Year view, the calendar moves to another year.
  • In Month view, the calendar moves to another month.
  • The current period label updates.

Filter calendar itemsโ€‹

Goal:

  • Show only the item types you need to review.

Steps:

  1. Open the Calendar tab.
  2. In the toolbar, select or clear Reports.
  3. Select or clear RI.
  4. Review the calendar grid.

Expected result:

  • When Reports is selected, report items such as Inspection failed are visible.
  • When RI is selected, RI-related items such as Weekly are visible.
  • When both filters are cleared, no report or RI items should be visible.
note

One observed Year view state shows Weekly items while RI is cleared and failed inspection cards are not visible. If this occurs, refresh the page or change views to confirm the current item classification and filter state.

Review a failed reportโ€‹

Goal:

  • Open a failed inspection report and review the failed checks.

Steps:

  1. Open the Calendar tab.
  2. Make sure Reports is selected in the toolbar.
  3. Find an Inspection failed card.
  4. Select the eye icon on the card.
  5. In the report review side panel, select the Failed tab if it is not already selected.
  6. Review the failed sections, such as Active Faults and Frequently used zones.

Expected result:

  • A right-side report review panel opens.
  • The background Calendar page is dimmed.
  • Failed report details are shown in the panel.

Export a Weekly item as CSVโ€‹

Goal:

  • Export available data for a Weekly item.

Steps:

  1. Open the Calendar tab.
  2. Make sure RI is selected in the toolbar, if the item is controlled by the RI filter.
  3. Find a Weekly item.
  4. Select the vertical three-dot menu on the item.
  5. In the context menu, go to Export.
  6. Select CSV.

Expected result:

  • The available item data is exported or downloaded as a CSV file.
note

The available export actions can vary by item type, item state, and permission.

Create a reportโ€‹

Goal:

  • Configure and save a scheduled report for the selected panel.

Steps:

  1. Open the Calendar tab.
  2. Select Create a report.
  3. In Step 1 โ€” Name, enter a report name.
  4. In Step 2 โ€” Report type, select one of these options:
    • One Time
    • Daily
    • Weekly
    • Monthly
  5. In Step 3 โ€” Schedule start, select Start right now or enter a date and time.
  6. In Step 4 โ€” Report format, select at least one required report format and the required content options.
  7. In Step 5 โ€” Delivery options, enter an email address or FTP server address when delivery is required.
  8. Select Save.

Expected result:

  • The report configuration is saved.
  • The report appears on the calendar according to its schedule and the active filters.

Confirm that you are working in Equipment hub for the correct panel before saving the report. The report is created for the selected panel context.

Start remote inspection nowโ€‹

Goal:

  • Initiate a remote inspection immediately for the selected panel.

Steps:

  1. Open the Calendar tab.
  2. Select the main Start RI button.
  3. In the Initiate inspection modal, review the confirmation message.
  4. Select Begin now.

Expected result:

  • Remote inspection starts for the selected panel.
  • The modal closes after the action is accepted.

Select Begin now only when you are ready to start the inspection. The action applies to the selected panel.

Schedule remote inspectionโ€‹

Goal:

  • Schedule a future remote inspection for the selected panel.

Steps:

  1. Open the Calendar tab.
  2. Select the dropdown arrow next to Start RI.
  3. Select Schedule.
  4. In Next inspection, select the date for the next inspection.
  5. In Choose repetition, select one of these options:
    • Once
    • 1 month
    • 3 months
    • 6 months
    • 9 months
  6. Save or confirm the schedule if the modal provides a confirmation action.

Expected result:

  • The remote inspection is scheduled for the selected panel.
  • If a recurring option is selected, the inspection repeats at the selected interval.
note

The available screenshot shows the scheduling fields and dropdown options. The final confirmation control is not visible in the provided reference.

Cancel a remote inspection scheduleโ€‹

Goal:

  • Remove an existing RI schedule for the selected panel.

Steps:

  1. Open the Calendar tab.
  2. Select the dropdown arrow next to Start RI.
  3. Select Cancel schedule.
  4. Complete any confirmation step if one appears.

Expected result:

  • The existing RI schedule is removed when cancellation is supported and permitted.

Troubleshootingโ€‹

Calendar item is not visibleโ€‹

Possible causes

  • The item is outside the selected period.
  • The calendar is in Year view and does not show exact dates.
  • Reports or RI is cleared.
  • The item type is not controlled by the filter you expect.
  • The current operator does not have permission to view the item.

What to do

  1. Confirm the current period label.
  2. Use the back or forward arrow to move to the correct period.
  3. Switch to Month view if you need exact dates.
  4. Select Reports and RI to show both item types.
  5. Refresh the page if the filter state looks inconsistent.
  6. Contact an administrator if the item is still not visible.

Today button is unavailableโ€‹

Possible causes

  • The button is disabled in the current state.
  • The current date is already displayed.
  • The product does not allow the action in the current view or state.

What to do

  1. Check whether the current period already matches today.
  2. Use the back or forward arrows to navigate manually.
  3. Change the calendar view and check whether the button becomes available.

Create report cannot be savedโ€‹

Possible causes

  • A required step is incomplete.
  • The report name is empty.
  • No required report format is selected.
  • Date or time values are missing or invalid.
  • Delivery fields contain invalid values.
  • The current operator does not have permission to create reports.

What to do

  1. Review the stepper for required steps marked with a red asterisk.
  2. Enter a report name.
  3. Select a report type.
  4. Configure the schedule start.
  5. Select at least one required report format.
  6. Correct any invalid email or FTP destination.
  7. Select Save again.
  8. Contact an administrator if the action remains unavailable.

Report delivery does not workโ€‹

Possible causes

  • The email address is missing or invalid.
  • The FTP server address is missing or invalid.
  • The delivery service is not configured or unavailable.
  • The selected report format is not supported by the chosen destination.

What to do

  1. Open the report configuration.
  2. Review Email address and FTP server address.
  3. Confirm that the destination is valid.
  4. Confirm that the required delivery service is configured.
  5. Save the report again.

Failed report details do not openโ€‹

Possible causes

  • The wrong icon was selected.
  • The report item is no longer available.
  • The page is still loading data.
  • The current operator does not have permission to review reports.

What to do

  1. Select the eye icon on the Inspection failed card.
  2. Wait for the side panel to load.
  3. Refresh the page and try again.
  4. Contact an administrator if the review panel does not open.

Start RI does not beginโ€‹

Possible causes

  • The action was canceled in the confirmation modal.
  • The current operator does not have permission to start RI.
  • The selected panel cannot start RI in its current state.
  • A connection or backend service is unavailable.

What to do

  1. Select Start RI again.
  2. In the confirmation modal, select Begin now.
  3. Check the panel status indicators in the header.
  4. Confirm that you have permission to start RI.
  5. Try again after the panel state is ready.

RI schedule cannot be createdโ€‹

Possible causes

  • The next inspection date is invalid.
  • A repetition value is not selected.
  • The current operator does not have permission to schedule RI.
  • The selected panel does not support scheduling in its current state.

What to do

  1. Open the Start RI dropdown.
  2. Select Schedule.
  3. Select a valid Next inspection date.
  4. Select a Choose repetition value.
  5. Save or confirm the schedule if a confirmation action appears.
  6. Contact an administrator if scheduling remains unavailable.

Cancel schedule does not remove the RI itemโ€‹

Possible causes

  • No active schedule exists.
  • The cancellation action requires confirmation that was not completed.
  • The current operator does not have permission to cancel schedules.
  • The calendar has not refreshed.

What to do

  1. Open the Start RI dropdown.
  2. Select Cancel schedule.
  3. Complete any confirmation step if it appears.
  4. Refresh the calendar.
  5. Check the same period in Year and Month views.
  6. Contact an administrator if the schedule remains visible.
