Info

Overview​

The Info tab in Equipment hub shows information related to the selected panel. Use this tab to review owner details and other panel-specific information groups from one location.

Equipment hub opens when you select a panel from the Equipment page. The Info tab is available per panel, so the values shown on the page apply only to the currently opened panel.

Use the Info tab to:

  • Review owner information for a panel.
  • Add owner information when it is missing.
  • Edit existing owner information.
  • Navigate between available information groups for the selected panel.
  • Review additional information groups that depend on the panel model, such as Panel info, Cellular, or Dealer info, when available.

This page describes the Owner info group in detail. Other information groups can differ by panel type or panel model.

Before you begin​

Required permissions​

  • You must have permission to view equipment.
  • You must have permission to view panel information in Equipment hub.
  • You must have permission to edit owner information to add or update owner details.

Access to the Info tab and related charts or widgets is controlled by the role permissions assigned to the user. The exact permission group name is not specified in the available information.

Preconditions​

  • A panel must exist on the Equipment page.
  • You must open Equipment hub by selecting a panel from the Equipment page.
  • The Info tab must be available for the selected panel.
  • Owner information must be saved before it appears in the Owner info widget.

Dependencies​

  • The information groups shown on the Info tab depend on the selected panel type and panel model.
  • The map preview for Address or coordinates depends on a valid address or coordinate value and a configured Google API key in system settings.

Important limitations​

  • Information groups other than Owner info can vary by panel model. Do not expect the same groups for every panel.
  • The Address or coordinates map widget appears only when the value is valid and the Google API key is configured in settings.
  • Selecting Cancel in the Edit owner info modal closes the modal and does not save entered changes.
  • Field validation can prevent saving until all values match the required format and length limits.

The Info tab is organized into a navigation area on the left and information group widgets on the right.

The available information groups can differ between panels. This behavior is expected when panel models support different data sets.

Owner info widget​

The Owner info widget shows owner contact and location information for the selected panel. This widget is available for all panel types.

If owner information is not saved, the widget shows No owner info and the + Add owner info button.

If owner information exists, the widget shows saved values. Empty values are shown as not set.

The Edit owner info modal opens when you select the edit icon in the Owner info widget or the + Add owner info button.

When you open the modal from + Add owner info, fields are empty. When you open it from the edit icon, fields show the current saved values.

How to use this page​

Open the Info tab for a panel​

Goal:

  • Open panel information from the Equipment page.

Steps:

  1. Open the Equipment page.
  2. Select the panel that you want to review.
  3. In Equipment hub, select the Info tab.
  4. Review the information group navigation on the left.
  5. Select an information group, such as Owner info, if needed.

Expected result:

  • Equipment hub shows the Info tab for the selected panel.
  • The right side shows information widgets related to that panel.

Review owner information​

Goal:

  • Check the saved owner details for the selected panel.

Steps:

  1. Open Equipment hub for a panel.
  2. Select the Info tab.
  3. In the information group navigation, select Owner info.
  4. Review the values in the Owner info widget.

Expected result:

  • If owner information exists, the widget shows saved values.
  • Empty fields are shown as not set.
  • If no owner information exists, the widget shows No owner info and the + Add owner info button.

Add owner information​

Goal:

  • Add owner details to a panel that does not have owner information.

Steps:

  1. Open Equipment hub for the panel.
  2. Select the Info tab.
  3. In the Owner info widget, select + Add owner info.
  4. In the Edit owner info modal, enter the owner details.
  5. Check that each field matches its validation rules.
  6. Select Save.

Expected result:

  • The modal closes.
  • The Owner info widget shows the saved values.
  • Fields without values are shown as not set.

If a field does not match validation rules, the owner information is not saved until the value is corrected.

Edit existing owner information​

Goal:

  • Update saved owner details for the selected panel.

Steps:

  1. Open Equipment hub for the panel.
  2. Select the Info tab.
  3. In the Owner info widget, select the edit icon.
  4. In the Edit owner info modal, review the current values.
  5. Update the required fields.
  6. Select Save.

Expected result:

  • The modal closes.
  • The Owner info widget updates with the saved values.

Cancel owner information changes​

Goal:

  • Close the modal without saving changes.

Steps:

  1. Open the Edit owner info modal from + Add owner info or the edit icon.
  2. Enter or change one or more values.
  3. Select Cancel.

Expected result:

  • The modal closes.
  • Entered changes are not saved.
  • The Owner info widget keeps the previous values.

Verify the owner location on the map​

Goal:

  • Confirm that the saved address or coordinates can be shown on a map.

Steps:

  1. Open the Edit owner info modal.
  2. Enter a valid value in Address or coordinates.
  3. Check whether a map appears below the field.
  4. If the map appears, review the displayed location.
  5. Select Save if the value is correct.

Expected result:

  • A map appears below Address or coordinates when the value is valid and the Google API key is configured.
  • If the map does not appear, the field can still show the entered text, but the map preview is unavailable.

The map depends on system settings. If the Google API key is not configured, the map widget does not appear.

Tips​

tip
  • Review the selected panel before you edit owner information. Owner values are saved per panel.
  • Use Address or coordinates consistently across panels to make location review easier.
  • Keep remarks focused on operational details that help users identify or service the panel.
  • If the map does not appear, check the address or coordinates first, then check whether the Google API key is configured.
  • Use Cancel if you open the modal for review only and do not want to save changes.

Troubleshooting​

Owner info is not displayed​

Possible causes

  • Owner information has not been added for the selected panel.
  • You opened a different panel than expected.
  • You do not have permission to view the relevant panel information.

What to do

  1. Confirm that the correct panel is open in Equipment hub.
  2. Select the Info tab.
  3. Check the Owner info widget.
  4. If the widget shows No owner info, select + Add owner info to add values.
  5. If you cannot access the tab or widget, contact an administrator to review your permissions.

Save is not successful​

Possible causes

  • One or more values do not match validation rules.
  • A field exceeds the allowed character limit.
  • The email address is not valid.
  • The phone number contains unsupported characters.
  • You do not have permission to edit owner information.

What to do

  1. Review each field in the Edit owner info modal.
  2. Shorten values that exceed the character limit.
  3. Enter a valid email address.
  4. Update the phone number so it contains only + and digits, with at least 3 digits.
  5. Select Save again.
  6. If saving still fails, contact an administrator to confirm your edit permissions.

Map does not appear below Address or coordinates​

Possible causes

  • The Address or coordinates value is empty.
  • The value is not recognized as a correct address or coordinate value.
  • The Google API key is not configured in settings.
  • The Google API key configuration is invalid or unavailable.

What to do

  1. Confirm that Address or coordinates contains a value.
  2. Check the spelling or coordinate format.
  3. Ask an administrator to confirm that the Google API key is configured in settings.
  4. Save the owner information if the text value is correct and a map preview is not required.

Changes disappear after selecting Cancel​

Possible causes

  • The Cancel button was selected.
  • The modal was closed before saving.

What to do

  1. Reopen the Edit owner info modal.
  2. Enter the required changes again.
  3. Select Save.

Phone number is rejected​

Possible causes

  • The value contains spaces, letters, dashes, parentheses, or other unsupported characters.
  • The value contains fewer than 3 digits.
  • The value contains 20 or more characters.

What to do

  1. Remove unsupported characters.
  2. Use only digits and, if needed, the plus sign (+).
  3. Confirm that the number contains at least 3 digits.
  4. Confirm that the value contains less than 20 characters.
  5. Select Save again.

Email address is rejected​

Possible causes

  • The value is not in a valid email format.
  • The field contains extra spaces or unsupported characters.

What to do

  1. Check the email address format.
  2. Remove extra spaces.
  3. Enter a valid email address.
  4. Select Save again.
