Weather / location / timezone sync settings

The Weather / location / timezone sync settings page is used to configure weather API key, GEO names username, and sync interval.

Before you begin​

Required permissions​

  • You must have permission to edit settings to change values on this page.

Access to Weather / location / timezone sync settings settings is controlled by role permissions for Settings management.

Preconditions​

  • The Settings section must be available to your role.
  • Values must be valid before changes can be saved.

Dependencies​

  • Weather features depend on a valid weather API token.
  • Leaving the token empty and saving disables the feature.
  • Sync interval must be one of the supported values.

How to use this page​

Review settings​

Goal:

  • Review current Weather / location / timezone sync settings values.

Steps:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select or scroll to Weather / location / timezone sync settings.
  3. Review the values shown on the settings card.

Expected result:

  • Current settings are visible.

Edit settings​

Goal:

  • Update Weather / location / timezone sync settings values.

Steps:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select or scroll to Weather / location / timezone sync settings.
  3. Select the edit icon.
  4. Update the fields, dropdowns, or toggles.
  5. Select Save.

Expected result:

  • Settings are saved when values are valid and the action is allowed.

Tips​

  • Save only after checking all required fields.
  • Contact an administrator if the expected edit action is unavailable.

Troubleshooting​

Settings were not saved​

Possible causes

  • You selected Cancel.
  • One or more values are invalid.

What to do

  1. Open the edit dialog again.
  2. Review every field, dropdown, and toggle.
  3. Correct invalid values.
  4. Select Save.

Weather features are unavailable​

Possible causes

  • Weather API key is empty or invalid.
  • GEO names username is missing.

What to do

  1. Review Weather API key.
  2. Review GEO names username.
  3. Select a supported sync interval.
