Periodic test event support over LwM2M
Overview
PowerManage now supports periodic test reporting over LwM2M for IQ panels. When an IQ panel generates and sends a periodic test, PowerManage can record a separate periodic test event for each receiver.
This provides receiver-level visibility, so users can identify which receiver the periodic test came from instead of seeing only a single combined periodic test event.
This support applies to IQ panels using Fibro receivers, with configurations of up to four receivers.
What's changed
PowerManage now records periodic test activity over LwM2M as receiver-specific events.
This update adds support for:
- Receiving one periodic test event per receiver.
- Identifying periodic test events by receiver number.
- Mapping periodic test activity to the originating receiver.
- Reporting and monitoring periodic test activity with receiver-level detail.

Who is affected
This update affects:
- Dealers, operators, installers, and administrators who monitor IQ panel periodic test events in PowerManage.
- IQ panels that use LwM2M communication for periodic test reporting.
Benefits
Periodic test event support over LwM2M provides the following benefits:
- Better visibility into which receiver sent a periodic test.
- More detailed periodic test reporting for IQ panels with multiple receivers.
- Easier monitoring of receiver-specific test activity.
- Clearer event history because PowerManage records separate events for each receiver.
What you need to do
Typical use
No action is required. When a supported IQ panel sends periodic test events over LwM2M, PowerManage records the receiver-specific events automatically.
Review periodic test events
When a periodic test occurs, review the event list or reporting workflow in PowerManage. You should see a separate event for each receiver that the panel communicated with during the periodic test cycle.
For IQ panels with multiple Fibro receivers, use the receiver identifier in the event details to confirm which receiver reported the periodic test.
Behavior details
If an IQ panel is configured with multiple Fibro receivers, a single periodic test cycle can result in multiple receiver-specific events arriving in PowerManage. PowerManage records one event for each receiver that the panel communicated with.
When a periodic test occurs:
- PowerManage receives one event per receiver, from Receiver 1 through Receiver 4 where applicable.
- PowerManage does not show only one combined periodic test event when receiver-specific events are available.
- Each event is identified using Contact ID code 3602 for the SIA RP event.
- Each event includes the originating receiver identifier.
- PowerManage uses the receiver identifier to map and report periodic tests per receiver correctly.
Receiver-specific periodic test visibility depends on the panel sending receiver-identifiable periodic test events over LwM2M.
Important notes and limitations
- This support applies to IQ panels using Fibro receivers.
- Up to four receivers are supported.
- Receiver-specific reporting depends on the receiver configuration on the panel.
- A single periodic test cycle can generate multiple events, one for each receiver that the panel communicated with.
- Periodic test events are identified using Contact ID code 3602 for the SIA RP event.
