PowerManage 5.0 updates
Overview​
PowerManage 5.0 includes a refreshed user interface with improved consistency, accessibility, and navigation. These updates make it easier to manage and monitor systems.
This release also adds support for new devices and panels, improves communication reliability, and provides more flexible options for notifications, reporting, and automation. These changes help streamline daily workflows and create a more intuitive, efficient experience.
Material Design 3.0 compliance and UI refactoring​
PowerManage 5.0 includes a modernized user interface based on Material Design 3.0.
Key changes:
- Updated the look and feel across all screens.
- Improved layout and control consistency across the interface.
- Improved usability, readability, visual hierarchy, and accessibility.
- Improved behavior across desktop, tablet, and other screen sizes.
- Updated menu and page names to make navigation easier.

Neo 5 support​
Peripheral devices and modules support​
PowerManage 5.0 adds support for new Neo 5 hardware components and peripheral modules.
Key changes:
- Added support for managing and integrating new devices, onboard cards, hosts, and keypads with Neo 5 panels.
- Enabled PowerManage to recognize, provision, monitor, and control newly introduced Neo 5 hardware components and peripheral modules.

Firmware upgrade​
Operators can view available firmware packages for Neo 5 panels directly in PowerManage.
Key changes:
- Added a list of available firmware packages from the Neo 5 firmware repository.
- Added options to view, select, and apply firmware packages in the PowerManage.
- Added package details, including the version, description, and release notes.

MQTT-based wake-up for cellular panels​
PowerManage 5.0 introduces an MQTT-based wake-up mechanism for Neo 5 panels that operate over cellular networks.
Key changes:
- Added wake-up instructions through a continuous MQTT connection.
- Reduced reliance on SMS messages for communication between panels and PowerManage.
- Improved the reliability and scalability of panel-server communication over cellular networks.

Configurable ITv2 heartbeat for connectivity monitoring​
PowerManage 5.0 adds a configurable heartbeat mechanism for monitoring Neo 5 panel connectivity.
Key changes:
- Added configurable heartbeat messages between Neo 5 panels via ITv2 and PowerManage.
- Added options for dealers and system administrators to define heartbeat frequency and behavior.
- Helped balance connectivity monitoring with network efficiency.

Billing support​
PowerManage 5.0 adds billing support for Neo 5 panels.
Key changes:
- Added support for Dealer ID management and billing plan assignment.

Automatic activation​
PowerManage 5.0 automates the activation process for Neo 5 panels.
Key changes:
- Removed the need to manually enter an installer code during initial setup.
- Allowed only activation commands that originate from PowerManage.
- Rejected and logged invalid or unauthorized activation attempts.

ITv2 protocol improvements​
PowerManage 5.0 improves ITv2 protocol support for firmware upgrades, diagnostics, and panel communication.
Key changes:
- Added support for initiating and performing firmware upgrades over ITv2.
- Added support for for ITV2 Type 3 encryption.
- Reduced dependency on DLS for firmware upgrades.
- Improved cellular connectivity and automatic reconnection for ITv2 sessions.
- Added access to event buffer logs, PowerG RSSI, and RSM diagnostics over ITv2.
- Added real-time PGM output status over ITv2 with optimized data usage and configurable notifications.

IQ APN options upload and download support​
PowerManage 5.0 adds support for managing APN settings for IQ Panels.

Operators can view and change panel and partition states directly from the Equipment page.

- Added bulk state changes and real-time status updates for multiple panels or partitions.

Periodic test event support over LwM2M​
PowerManage 5.0 adds periodic test event reporting over LwM2M for IQ Panels.

- Added support for periodic test event reporting over LwM2M for IQ Panels with up to four Fibro receivers.
- Added individual event tracking for each receiver.

PowerManage 5.0 shows the current or expected event delivery path for panels.

Fibro account duplication​
PowerManage 5.0 helps identify panels that use duplicated Fibro accounts.
Key changes:
- Added a trouble alert for panels with duplicated Fibro accounts.
- Added unique panel identification to help prevent data overwriting when multiple panels use the same Fibro account.

Disable system notifications​
PowerManage 5.0 lets users disable all end-user notifications, including system notifications.

Reports​
Configurable event and process limit in reports​
PowerManage 5.0 adds a configuration option for the maximum number of events or processes in generated reports.

- Added a configuration option for the maximum number of events or processes in reports.
- Added support for reports with more than 20 events or processes, up to the recommended limit of 256.
- Applied the configured limit dynamically during report generation.

PowerManage diagnostic information​
PowerManage 5.0 adds a Diagnostic page that shows server health and status information.
Key changes:
- Added a Diagnostic page to the PowerManage user interface.
- Added system metrics, including server uptime, memory usage, disk usage, CPU details, and network status.
- Added access to service, disk, and network diagnostics so users can perform health checks without advanced support.
